When I started cleansing I had no theoretical understanding.

I never before met anyone who had ever done any cleansing, any fasting, any juicing or any colon cleaning. Alternative health care was just that, an alternative that I had no knowledge of.

I was a beer guzzling, 10 cups A DAY coffee drinking, steak, mash potatoes and three scoops of ice cream for desert  guy. I was a partying type of guy. Never ate nor liked fresh vegetables or fresh salads.

I still 'like' the taste of all the above (and I still like a good party), but it's just that I don't really feel the need to indulge in it all like I did in the past. My eating habits and lifestyle have dramatically changed since I started cleansing. Yours probably will too if you cleanse and follow-up properly.

I have discovered how to change my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health without much effort, without lists, without positive thinking and without much discipline. I don't exercise anymore, I don't pop pills anymore and I haven't visited a doctor in 15 years. So what I have to say to you below IS QUITE UNIQUE.

I bumped into cleansing by accident, just like you probably are here today, by accident.

I'll never forget that day... it was a hot sunny day. I was in Thailand... I laughed when I heard about cleaning my body internally and I was very very skeptical.

BUT at the same time I was open enough to try it.

Why?

Because I had a few health problems that never seemed to quite sort themselves out, and it was years of trying. And I was fed up. I really was tired of 'putzing' around with my health and my life. It is said that "when the student is ready, the teacher appears." I was ready.

Of course each of us has our own list of health issues, you have yours today, here was mine back then-->

From the mundane: weight gain, dandruff (even though I tried lots of different shampoo's), stinky feet when I removed my socks and shoes, wet balmy hands, skin rashes and skin fungus that refused to go away (even though I tried so many different creams), b/o which meant that I needed to use deodorant daily (eek!), recurring neck aches, headaches and back pains. In short declining sluggish health. Lots of anxiety too because after all I was only in my mid thirties! I was really worried what was going to be happening to me and my body by the time I was in my mid 50's or mid 60's (if I ever got that far?!)

To the chronic and more serious: off and on constipation that lasted for days and sometimes weeks, low energy, chronic fatigue syndrome, negative emotional outbursts, anger, heavy perspiration when exercising, high "bad" cholesterol, a boil or two on my right arm once every six months, 3 or 4 migraine headaches every year plus numerous 'milder' headaches, blood pressure that was starting to rise, zits on my upper back, zits on my  bum, genital herpes, hemorrhoids (how disgusting and painful!), and even depression too (which I didn't know to recognize back then).

And I tried everything. I was fed up. I had spent over the course of 10 years tons of money on getting only temporary relief, but nothing permanent. I did the gym scene, I tried the doctors, I read all the books, and I took so many different health and dietary supplements...and I got only temporary relief...

What really bothered me was that the old issues kept coming back in one form or another, and even worse, every year or two some new health issues arose, some seemingly related, others not. And that scared me. I admit it. I wanted to grow my health, not just stop its decline or maintain it. I was worried. It seemed to me that I was on a one way track, I was sinking!

It took me a while until I finally understood that bottles and bottles of herbals supplements and herbal extracts, or vitamins and dietary supplements would do NOTHING for me in the long run besides run down my finances. I already had lots of experiences with doctors and medications and I knew from personal experience that too was a DEAD-END costly road.

I also realized that once I got my metabolism in order, weight issues would probably become history. On a rainy day out of the blue it came to me that my skin issues started INSIDE OF me, not outside, that the source of my problems were internal, not external.

In short, I was ready to take the next step, to step up to the plate and take personal responsibility for my own health. It's wasn't an easy move. In fact, it is a bit scary. But I had no choice. I was tired of sinking and tired of the anxiety of not knowing how to take care of my body on my own.

I understood that good health really was my own responsibility, not someone else's.

Bottles of supplements, doctors, dieting and exercising I wanted off my lists. The only problem was I didn't know how to proceed and progress from that point onwards, from that understanding I didn't know how to do it.... I didn't know what to do next.

Bottom line was I wanted a LIFELONG health care system that was practical, safe, holistic, simple, executable, affordable, self help, inspiring and workable.

So when I accidentally came across this type of cleansing (7 days of juice fasting, colon cleaning and home colonics, done simultaneously for seven straight days at my convenience and on my own with continuous supervision), I was EXCITED to say the least.

It made so much sense. This was TRUE self-help self-care.

I was sure there would be a million and one questions that needed to be answered while I was transforming my health, and I didn't want to find myself out on a limb, flying by the seat of my pants, guessing what to do next and what not to do. I wanted expert professional supervision, direction and support everyday continuously for six to ten weeks AFTER my formal cleansing.

The issues that were on my mind that day when I, Jos-hua, decided to do my first cleanse were:

Is this safe and do I need doctor supervision? (Do these people know what they are doing. They answered me bluntly- this is self-help, this is beyond doctors, this is you creating your own destiny... they said there comes a time when execution is more important than theory... don't worry they said, lets start executing. I looked into this guys face and I started worrying especially since there wasn't anyone else around doing it to confirm what they told me! )

How much will this cost? The price was reasonable, 900 US$ for the cleansing plus all the things that go on around it (take note 900$ fifteen years ago is not 900 in today's dollars, but more like 1,800 in today's dollars).

I already had spent 1,200 US Dollars in airfare just to get to Thailand.

After paying the bill, I would still have 800 dollars left in my pocket for further traveling AND I'll be phenomenally healthier too...that's how I approached it... and when I added up the last two years of doctor bills, drugs and medications (the cost of the herpes medications was astronomical), books I had bought and read and tried to practice from on my own, membership fees at gyms and other herbal remedies, it made financial sense.

I thought to myself if this really works I'll be ahead big time in big savings. And that was important because my financial situation was not good at all back then. They said when you look better, feel better and project radiating healthiness it will be easier for you to find a new job, new friends, a new girlfriend and a better life. Guess what? They were right!)

Will this work? I mean really work? Is it worth the investment? Can they walk me through it? Will I not give up in the middle of it all? Will the health issues I now have raging 10 years be over? They say that by cleansing the body this way (juice fasting, colon cleaning, self administered home colonics for seven days), a lot of my old diseases are going to disappear naturally, my skin will be better and my energy levels are going to skyrocket. That's all they said. No promises, no refunds... hmmm.

They told me that I need to do 7 days of formal cleansing, I did nine days. Not much happened in those nine days but I have NEVER looked back.

As I progressed along the cleansing path all my above ailments became history (including the deodorant ), and better yet, in the last 15 years I have not gotten even one new health problem, not one new illness, disease, new pain or NEW problems of any sort ... not only do I now have full control over my health, looking better and feeling better than ever, but I have also saved myself these last 15 years tons of money, frustration, anxiety and worries. And that is priceless!

The constant herpes outbreaks stopped and the herpes disappeared forever. The boils never came back again. The hemorrhoids are history and the constant pains in my back and neck, well they too are gone. Weight stabilized, energy skyrocketed and a general feeling that everyday, life is becoming easier and easier has settled in and never gone away.

The only thing I have been experiencing as I age these last 15 years is healing of all my old issues and injuries. I started cleansing when I was 33... now I am 48 going on 49. I look younger now than I did then!!!
